How It Works

How your roofing calendar gets filled.

This is the full breakdown: where your homeowner list comes from, what counts as a qualified estimate, how every booking gets double-confirmed, and exactly what happens when a homeowner is not home. No shared leads, no guesswork, and no VA Horizon dollar figures until you are on a call with us.

Built on your service area, not a marketplace.

Every appointment starts with a list, and the list is where most lead-gen vendors cut corners. Ours is built from scratch, in-house, for your exact roofing service area. We source homeowners, verify them against your criteria, and run every conversation ourselves. Nothing is bought from a data broker and nothing is resold to another contractor after we use it.

That matters because the alternative is the industry default. On the big shared-lead marketplaces, the same homeowner request gets resold to multiple roofing contractors, and shared roofing leads convert at roughly 13 to 20%, versus 27 to 30% for exclusive appointments (industry estimate). You are not the only truck that homeowner is expecting, and the lower conversion rate is the receipt.

Shared-lead marketplaces

  • Converts around 13 to 20%, versus 27 to 30% for exclusive appointments (industry estimate)
  • Data pulled from a shared marketplace database, not built for your service area
  • You compete on speed to the phone, not on fit
  • No written criteria behind who counts as a match

VA Horizon lists

  • Sourced in-house, exclusive to you, never resold
  • Built specifically for your service area
  • Verified against the criteria you set at kickoff
  • You pay per booked appointment, not per shared record

Marketplace figures are competitors' published terms, cited above. See the full comparison on roofing appointments vs shared leads.

The bar is written down before we dial.

At kickoff, we sit down with you and put your qualification criteria in writing. It is not a vague promise of "quality leads." It is a short, specific list that both sides sign off on before a single homeowner is contacted. From that point forward, that document decides what gets booked, and what gets replaced free.

Roof age

How old the roof needs to be before it is worth your crew's time, set by you.

Storm damage

Whether we are qualifying on visible hail or wind damage, an insurance claim, or both.

Homeowner, decision-maker

The appointment is with the person who owns the home and can say yes, not a renter or a gatekeeper.

Service area

The zip codes and radius you actually run crews in, nothing outside your footprint.

A real conversation, not a script.

Once your list and criteria are set, we start reaching out to homeowners about a roof estimate. It is a live, two-way conversation, not a robocall or a mass blast. We answer questions, work around a busy schedule, and only move a homeowner forward once they actually match what you signed off on.

Step 01

First contact

We reach a homeowner in your service area about a roof estimate and open a real conversation.

Step 02

Genuine back and forth

Questions get answered, objections get worked through. It is not a script read at them.

Step 03

Qualified against your bar

Roof age, damage, homeowner status, and service area are checked before we book anything.

Step 04

They pick a time

A qualified homeowner chooses a slot directly on your calendar, ready for confirmation.

Confirmed twice before the slot.

A time on the calendar is not the finish line. It is the start of a confirmation sequence built to make sure your crew is not driving to an empty house. The homeowner confirms once when they pick the time, and again as the appointment approaches, so you are not finding out the estimate is off at the door.

Only appointments that clear both confirmations count as booked. Each one arrives on your calendar with the conversation behind it, so you know exactly why that homeowner is on your schedule and what they were told.

Double-confirmed means two checkpoints, not one. The homeowner agrees to the time, then confirms again closer to the appointment. That second touch is what catches the schedule conflicts and cold feet before your crew is on the road.

If they are not home, you do not pay.

Even with double confirmation, a homeowner will occasionally not be there when your crew shows up. Life happens. The difference is what it costs you. If the homeowner is not home, or is not reachable within a short grace window of the scheduled time, we mark it a no-show on our end, not yours.

A no-show appointment is replaced free. You do not get billed for it, and you do not have to argue about it. That is the same standard we hold ourselves to on every exclusive appointment we book, and it is written into how billing works.

No answer, no charge. An empty driveway is our miss, not your bill. You only ever pay for estimates that actually happen.

Exclusive appointments. Pay per booked sit.

A small one-time setup covers your list build, campaign, and calendar integration. After that, you pay per booked appointment, and nothing else. No retainers, no monthly minimums, no charge for an appointment that never happened. The exact rate depends on your market and the criteria you set, so it is quoted for you on a 15-minute call rather than posted as a flat sticker price. See the full breakdown on how pricing works.

Exclusive

Every appointment is booked for you and only you. It is never resold.

Pay per booked sit

You pay when a qualified, double-confirmed appointment lands on your calendar.

No retainer

No monthly minimums and nothing owed between booked appointments.

Small one-time setup

Covers your list build, campaign, and calendar integration, quoted on a call.

Kickoff to live campaign in 48 to 72 hours.

There is no multi-month onboarding. The outreach system, the confirmation sequence, and the billing model already exist. Launching you is a matter of building your list and locking your criteria, not building something new from scratch.

Step 01

Kickoff, criteria signed

We map your service area and write your qualification criteria together. Both sides sign it.

Step 02

List built

Your homeowner list is sourced and verified in-house against the criteria you just signed.

Step 03

Campaign live

Outreach starts within 48 to 72 hours of kickoff, once your calendar is connected.

Step 04

First appointments

Booked, double-confirmed estimates typically start landing on your calendar in week one.

How it works, answered.

Where do the homeowner lists come from?
We build every list in-house for your exact service area. Homeowners are sourced and verified by our own team, not bought or resold from a marketplace database that has already been dialed by other shops. That is a different starting point than the shared-lead marketplaces, where the same homeowner request gets resold to multiple contractors and converts far lower as a result (industry estimate).
What counts as a qualified homeowner?
Whatever you write down at kickoff. Most roofing clients set the bar on roof age, storm or hail damage, whether we are talking to the homeowner or an actual decision-maker, and your service area. The criteria are signed before a single call goes out, so qualification is not a judgment call made after the fact.
How does double confirmation work?
Every booking is confirmed twice before the slot: once when the homeowner picks the time, and again with a follow-up confirmation as the appointment approaches. Only appointments that clear both confirmations land on your calendar, and each one carries the conversation log behind it.
What happens if the homeowner is not home?
You do not pay for it. If the homeowner is not there when your crew arrives, or is not reachable within a short grace window of the scheduled time, the appointment is marked a no-show and replaced free. You only pay for appointments that actually happen.
How does billing work?
A small one-time setup covers your list build, campaign, and calendar integration. After that, you pay a flat rate per booked appointment. No retainers, no monthly minimums. The exact rate depends on your market and your criteria, so it is quoted on a 15-minute call rather than posted as a sticker price. See how pricing works for the full billing model.
How fast can we launch?
Campaigns go live within 48 to 72 hours of kickoff, once your criteria are signed and your calendar is connected. First booked appointments typically land in the first week, because the list-building and outreach system already exists. Your launch is a configuration of a running system, not a new build.
