How The Math Works

Three pay components, added together.

The in-house side sums three things every month: base wages, per-appointment bonuses, and a small commission on the gross value of jobs that close.

Base wages

Hourly wage × hours per week × 4.33 weeks × number of canvassers. Paid regardless of results.

Appointment bonuses

Bonus per appointment × total appointments booked that month. Paid on every booked appointment, whether it closes or not.

Commission

1% of average job value × appointments that close into signed jobs that month, using your close rate. Paid only on wins.

Total monthly cost is the sum of those three lines, divided by total appointments booked to get a cost per appointment. The VA Horizon side is simpler: appointments booked multiplied by a flat $199, with a one-time setup fee that only appears in month one.

This model only covers direct pay.
